I always see so much hype around Korean skincare, so when my bestie arrived from Korea with this beauty – you bet your top dollar that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and see if it is comparable to Korean skincare. Typically, Korean beauties aren’t known for bold makeup looks and I found the shade selection in this palette to be true to everyday natural makeup looks that Korean women would go for and that I adore. Before I get into the reviewing part of this post, even though this particular palette comes from Korea – I found an online store that ships internationally if you’re keen on spoiling yourself with this palette. The shades in this palette is right up my alley as I am a die hard nudes girl when it comes to my eyeshadow. There’s a stunning selection of shimmers, mattes, blush and a powder, which in my opinion is the perfect type of palette for somebody just getting into makeup or for traveling when you can’t haul your entire makeup collection with you.
Even though this is a neutral toned palette, you can easily go from a natural everyday look; to a really smoky eye look where you pack on the dark brown shade on the outer “V” of the eye. The shades in this palette is quite pigmented but you have complete control of the shades and it’s easily blend-able. If you like being a bit daring with your eye looks, the shades in the palette layers beautifully.
With some of the matte shades there is a little bit of kick up but for me personally – it’s not a big deal. When the eyeshadow is blended on the eye, there is little to no fallout and I love that because it allows me to do my eye makeup after my foundation has been applied. The shimmers in this palette applies like a dream. It has this slight foil appearance to it when the light hits your eye and it has a smooth, buttery texture when applying it to the lid. If you really want to intensify the shimmer, a little bit of setting spray will do the trick. What I love most about these shimmers is that it can be used wet, dry, with a brush or tapped on with your finger. If you find yourself roaming the streets of Korea, I can highly recommend you pop this palette into your basket… or you can always check out a few online stores to see where you can get this palette from. I love the size of this mirror and the cute packaging of the palette. It gives me such Instagram vibes.
Ps seeing that we’re always real this parts of town, I decided to insert some unedited pictures of a look created with this palette that I think is perfect for an everyday look.
