Today’s fashion post is a tad bit different. Usually I would do a “Fashion Friday” post but I decided to carry on with the theme of sharing my favourite summer items. If you want to catch up on yesterday’s beauty summer favourites post, just click here and if you want to read about my favourite summer lifestyle products, then definitely check back on Monday.
I am so so so impressed with the fashion in stores at the moment. If I didn’t have to stick to my budget, I’d probably be shopping to my heart’s content. So many of the items that I will be sharing today I got on sale both online and in store. I shopped quite a bit of clothing items in the past couple of weeks but the items that made it to the top of my list are styles that I wouldn’t normally go for.First up is a jumpsuit from Superbalist. So I am not usually a pants wearer and I don’t particularly go for it when I see it in stores or online but when I saw this jumpsuit on Superbalist, I immediately popped it into my cart. I enjoyed wearing it so much, the very next week I bought the same jumpsuit in black as well. I am rather short in height so something like a jumpsuit never really appeals to me unless I am designing and sewing it myself. This jumpsuit fits perfectly. The grayish one is a tad bit too big for me and I will have to alter it but I can still get away with wearing it as is. I particularly love this item when Cape Town weather acts up (like today). The fabric feels super soft and I will most probably wear this garment in winter as well.
Next up is the shades from Superbalist. Again, this is not the style of sunglasses that I would normally go for and I didn’t really need new sunnies (because let’s face it, I have a pretty big collection) but these ones looked really stunning. The quality of these sunglasses feels high end, albeit lightweight. I don’t own anything from the ‘Daily Friday’ brand and thought this was a great introductory to my collection. I feel like the shape of these sunglasses would be rather flattering on most face shapes and I see myself wearing it well into summer. I don’t want to sound like a broken record but YOU GUYS!, I wouldn’t typically wear shoes like these. When I saw these creepers, I immediately fell in love and started putting together outfit ideas in my head. The best thing about these shoes are that the original price was R379.95 at Edgars and I picked it up for R130. Yes, R130! I have worn these a few times (after taking these pictures of course) and they are super comfortable and versatile. These also comes in a silver pair (also on sale) but it gave me too much unicorn vibes and I definitely don’t think that I have the confidence to pull it off. I can’t wait for winter to roll on in so that I can take full advantage of wearing these creepers.
Now for something a little bit more in my comfort zone, I am besotted with these wedges from Rage. I am a wedge girl through and through – heck, 60% of the shoes in my collection are probably wedges. I am not in the business of “suffering for beauty” and that is why wedges and platforms are my ‘go to’ in heels. These are super comfortable and not too high. The best part of these wedges is that I don’t have to faff around with tying them or doing buckles as the strap on top is elasticated. These wedges look stunning with both pants and dresses and I can see myself wearing these for a long time to come. Also, Rage has been killing it in the shoes and handbag department lately. Pop in store and see what I mean!
And that is a wrap of all my summer fashion favourites. Yay or Nay for my choices? Be sure to check back on Monday for my last post in my summer favourites theme. Have a blessed weekend darlings.
