Happy Wednesday darlings! Today on the blog I am all smiles and happy thoughts. Last week we celebrated World Smile Day 2017 and Dentyne South Africa wants to share the love with their new campaign that encourages us to smile more. Harvey Ball created the yellow smiley back in 1963 and 50+ years on we are still using it in emojis as a form of expression in conversations. With his original intention behind his creation – sharing a smile – he created World Smile Day with the aim of devoting at least one day a year to smiles and kind acts, around the world.
You know what they say, a smile is the most beautiful curve on a woman’s (or man’s) body and with us being so caught up in everyday life, we tend to not smile nearly as much as we can. With the 86 400 seconds in a day use at least one of those seconds to smile at a stranger because you never know what that person is going through and a smile is the key that fits the lock to everybody’s heart. Each and every one of us have our own unique smile – be it a flirty smile, a gappy smile, toothy smile or a smug smile… Dentyne wants you to show them your smile! From now until the end of October, Dentyne wants you to bring your smile A-game and record your own selfie video and don that smile for as long as you can. You can make it fun by roping your friends in to do it along with you and even add some music to your video.
What’s in it for you? You can walk away with online shopping vouchers and Dentyne branded goodies. To enter, simply visit the Dentyne SA Facebook page, follow @DentyneSA on Instagram and Twitter then upload your videos using #DentyneSmile in order for us to keep track of your entries.
Good Luck!
“What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but trifles, to be sure; but scattered along life’s pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.”
