Hi darlings! This is my first post for 2017 and I thought what better way to kick off my blogging year with two new products in my skincare routine that I have been loving and using religiously for the past few months. The holidays have been over for a while but I headed straight into deferred exams so now that – that is over I can focus on getting back into blogging. I always say that the perfect canvas makes makeup application a dream so a good skincare routine with great products are essential. Now usually with skincare I prefer testing the products out for about 2 – 3 months as skincare products takes its time to work its magic on your face.
At the start of summer I received a Beaucience Cleansing Gel and Day & Night Moisture Cream For Dry Skin from the Botanicals range and I couldn’t wait to start using it because my skin turned into a patchy and dry mess. The last time I recall my skin being in this condition is when I got back from the Middle East and I really could not bare a one month struggle getting my skin back to normal. A quick little background about the Beaucience brand – pronounced “Bo-si-ance”, is a proudly South African brand that focuses on using natural formulations and organic ingredients. I f you would like to find out more about this brand, definitely give their website a visit.Firstly as I would with my normal facial skincare routine, I wash my face with the Cleansing Gel and it definitely is one of the best that I’ve tried in a while. It’s super refreshing on the skin and leaves your face feeling “clean” and oil free. I struggle with an oily t-zone so this product is great for eliminating those excess oils without stripping your face from it’s natural oils. All I do is pump two drops into the palm of my hand, add a little water and work it onto my face. This cleansing gel doesn’t lather up as much but it does a great job at washing away makeup, especially at night. This product has some really fantastic ingredients in it such as aloe vera, peach, organic green tea, Proteasyl and witch hazel which are all known to have amazing benefits for the skin. The cleanser retails for R74.99.
Next up is the Day & Night Moisture Cream For Dry Skin. I have to say that the packaging stole my heart! It feels and looks super luxurious which is always an added bonus when it stands on your dresser. If you have super dry skin then this product will be your bestie. It’s thick and creamy and can turn any dry patch into a moisturised and even toned heaven. I don’t only use it on my face but around my ear area as well. Even though it’s extremely moisturising , it’s very gentle on my skin and doesn’t irritate it in the least bit. The moisture cream is currently out living my cleansing gel as you really do require the least amount of product to cover your entire face. I sometimes replace my primer with this product as it smooths out my skin and makes foundation application a breeze. I do however suggest that you wait a minute or two so that the product absorbs into your skin completely or else the foundation slides right off and oxidises within an hour or two. The moisture cream currently retails for R124.99.
There are so many more products in this range and even other ranges to choose from that perfectly suits your needs and skin. I am always on the look out for facial products that can work in conjunction with my treatments and medication and these two products fits the bill. You can purchase this range on the Absolute Skin website.
