A few weeks back I got a trio of Isabella Garcia – International nail polishes from the Precious Stone Nail Varnish Collection from my bestie’s mom. Now I’ve never heard of this brand before so I quickly jumped on the Google and came across their website. I was so surprised to see that Isabella Garcia is quite big here in SA and has huge range of products. I must be living under a rock!
Firstly, I love the packing of IG’s products. It has this simplicity yet elegant luxe feel to their products making it feel high end. I wear nail polish one week in the month (muslim chicas would know) so I decided that it would be the perfect time after Ramadan to test these beauties out. In my box I received :
1 x Ruby Red
1 x Precious Coral
1 x Dazzling Diamond.
I used Dazzling Diamond as a top coat over Ruby Red and Precious Coral as well as on its own. Each bottle contains 7ml of product (0.24 oz).
My favourite one out of the three is definitely Precious Coral. Its the perfect summer shade that has me longing for Cape Town beach weather. The nail polish itself applies so smoothly and I only needed one coat to achieve my desired shade. The brush is your standard nail polish applicator and because I have such small nails I only require two to three stokes to cover my nail with product. I only wore this nail polish for 3 days before I removed it and even on Day 3 there were no chipping. It’s definitely going to be my goto summer shade.
Ruby Red on the other hand is much darker in the bottle than what it appears on the nails. I had to give my nails two coats to achieve my desired shade and also to cover up the sort of “streakiness” that this nail polish has when applying. I’m not really a fan of this red even though I received many compliments when wearing it. I only wore it for two days (no chipping) and am pretty sure that I could’ve pushed for 4 maybe 5 days but I do feel that this trio is more of a summer collection which is rare for red nail polishes. One of my favourite things about this nail polishes are the finish of it. It has a very glossy finish that reminds me of a gelish nail polish without the soak off. I can just imagine how beautiful it would look on the nails in an even deeper winter shade like burgundy. I checked out Isabella Garcia Int website and saw that this set retails for R300 which isn’t badly priced at all considering that it comes down to R100 a bottle for a higher end brand. I’m keeping this Mani Monday post short. Do check out Isabella Garcia Int website for a looksee on their product range. There’s definitely a few products that caught my attention.
Have you tried out this brand?
