Hi darlings! I know I have been rather scarce on the blog for the past two weeks and it’s definitely not a case of “I’ve been too busy” or “I was too tired”or “I’m uninspired” .Its more a case of me figuring out what I am going to be doing regarding my blog. Ever since switching to a better camera, my pictures are obviously bigger which means that it takes a huge chunk of my blog’s memory seeing that I don’t resize them at all. In a few weeks time my domain will be expiring too so I have been kind of sitting on the fence and deciding what it is that I need to do… find new hosting? upgrade to a premium plan? Blogging is not cheap darlings! If any good souls out there have any advice on good deals here in South Africa regarding hosting packages and unlimited blog memory and all that jazz… please do shout? I love wordpress but I just wish their rates weren’t as pricey. This girl is rolling on a student budget here! UPDATE OVER.
Now autumn/winter is here and I have been hard at work making comfy dresses and investing in winter pieces that’s going to keep me toasty this winter. I am all about layering in the winter time because I am not a fan of pants or feeling restricted in the goodies I wear.Today I will be sharing some of the new goodies I bought .
At the moment Edgars has a sale on their exclusive Design branded cosmetics. This mascara, foundation stick and 12 pan eyeshadow palette all retailed under R100. Such a bargain, right? I’m also a huge fan of their Design brand because it is so affordable and the quality trumps many more higher end cosmetics brands. I also stocked up on my favourite mascara.
At Edgars I also bought myself some boots for winter. I didn’t go for something fancy shmancy but rather something comfortable as I wear my boots to campus. I loved this style, especially the gold detailing at the top. Another one of my recent purchases is this turquoise and white bag that I mostly chose because it has an extension strap that I can wear as a crossbody bag or over my shoulder because let’s face it… In winter i want to walk with my hands in my pockets and not hold a bag. My hairstylist (check him out, he’s brilliant at what he does) also gifted me this stunning body chain from India that I cant wait to wear. I am such a fan of locally produced clothing so I try to support local as much as I can, I purchased this stunning aztec printed dress that I bought(I will share more about the designer later on) and also share how I styled it. Of course with winter comes an overdose of hot beverages to keep you nice and toasty, along with that tall order of hot goodness one obviously needs cutesy mugs to drink from. To feed my owl obsession I picked up this owl mug and hot water bottle from Clicks last week which will definitely make my lazy days in on those stormy Cape evenings more blissful. Thank You for reading today darlings! What’s new on your aw16 wishlist?
