Can you believe that Fashion Friday has been one of the longest standing segments on this blog? Its definitely one of my favourite posts to put together because I not only get to enjoy the whole process of scouting what’s hot and happening in the fashion trending world but I also get to source fashion pieces online, which is a small part of my course and what I’d ultimately like to do in my career… On a bigger scale of course.

Now lately a trend that I’ve basically seen on every blogger, celebrity and in store/online is the sleeveless jacket or blazer. I can tell that its going to be a hot trend from autumn to winter. I think its the ideal piece that one could wear a light sweater under for autumn as the weather has a bit of a bite to it and in winter one could layer it to stay toasty! The thing that I love most about this trend is the versatility thereof.

Because I love what I do and I do what I love (excuse the cheesyness), I once tried sewing a tailored blazer and let me add that it was one the most challenging items I’ve ever tried to sew. I don’t think Ill attempt doing it anytime soon and I’d therefore be picking up one these lustworthy jacket from one my fave stores. I’ve put together a list of my favourite jackets online and in stores.
Keeping it short and sweet, sometimes styling a garment can be tricky and that is why I love my celeb inspiration in my fashion friday posts. The celebrities seem to be leaning more toward the longer length sleeveless jacket. What is your favourite style? Yay or nay for this trend?
