I haven’t done an empties post in a while and I thought its time I got back into it and finish the load of products I’ve been using. The other day I mentioned that my “you open it, you finish it” game is still going strong and today is the day I can finally chuck away the bag of empty bottles, tubes and containers that’s been piling up in my stash and move on to some new products! In my empties post you’ll stumble upon products that either gets a thumbs up r a thumbs down from me!
Starting clockwise:
1)Yardley 3D Lash Fibre Extension:
This is one of my all time favourite mascaras. I’ve re-purchased it four times and already added another to my collection. I haven’t seen this mascara in stores for a while. I’ve listed this mascara in my first ever empties post and mentioned that I hate how it irritated my eyes but working with it for a while I realised that I applied it way too close to my water line and have then adjusted my method. Its definitely not the best/worst mascara I’ve ever used but as a drugstore brand I would definitely repurchase it.
2) Avon: Far Away – Bella Sunset:
This perfume vile was one of my handbag staples. I received this with an Avon order and I’m definitely thinking of buying the full sized product. The longevity of this perfume is quite impressive. If you manage to get your hands on an Avon brochure, do give your wrist a little rub on the page to see/smell if this perfume suits you. This perfume is definitely not from everyone as my sister didn’t like it at all.
3) Bath and Body Works: Warm Vanilla Sugar Shea and Vitamin E body lotion:
I’ve reviewed this product on the blog before and I still do wish is was available in SA. This product is more of a winter lotion so it lasted me quite some time. If you’d like to read my full review on it, just click here.
4) Ponds Magic Freshness Talc in Acacia Honey: Seeing that I’m huge lover of talc, this product finished in no time! This is another range of products that’s not available in SA yet but if it was it would be a firm favourite. I have reviewed this talc as well so just click here.
5) Catrice Defining Duo Blush in 030 Gapefruit Shake:
This is by far the best blush I’ve ever used and also my first ever blush that I’ve hit pan on. I just love the colour payoff and the highlight that it added to my cheeks. I reviewed this blush from Catrice in a blogpost a while back so click here and see what it looks like.
6) Nice Apple Eau De Parfum:
I bought this perfume over in the UAE when I went last year and I have to say that I could kick myself for not buying more. If you’ve ever been to the Middle East you’d know that they’re big on their perfumes, especially gems like these regardless of its unknown status to the likes of Chanel, Versace, Givenchy, Gucci … You catch my drift. The bottle is super cutesy and I’m contemplating chucking it away.
7) Rimmel London 170 Alarm:
This red lipstick is one of the best I’ve ever come across. Its appeared on this blog countless times and I have to say at only R90 its one the best you’ll ever use. The creamy texture and the longevity of this lipstick is what makes it a favourite of mine.
8) Garnier BB Cream:
Garnier’s BB cream appears on my blog all the time and it appeared on my first empties post. Unless foundation is to my face by a professional, this product is the closest Ill ever get to foundation. I’ve read mixed reviews on this product but its still my favourite of all time. I think after you’ve used it for a while you learn to work with it and this is the only BB cream I’ve re-purchased ever.
9) Garnier Skin Naturals Pure Active:
Do you have puffy eyes when you wake in the morning? This product is your bestie! I always use it in DIY’s and now I’m sad that I finished my bottle. It lasted quite long but that’s because you only require the teeniest tiniest bit to cover your under eye area. I re-purchased it before and my opinion still hasn’t changed since 2014!
10) GHD Thermal Protector:
If you like me and require heat styled hair to look even close to being human then you’ll know that you need a good heat protecting product to go along with it. This product lasted AGES and I really didn’t need much to cover my hair. What I loved most about this product is that it didn’t make my hair greasy when I used it which is oh so common with heat protecting products that I’ve used in the past. This product sadly finished along with the 9 year life span of my GHD.
11) Avon After Sun:
This summer I’ve been in the sun more than ever. I usually end up with sensitive skin even though I’ve used sunblock. My life saver? This little number! It absolutely worth it in this crazy heat.
12) Kiwi Deo Fresh:
Lastly this product is not beauty related but its one of my favourite discoveries. If you’re a sneaker, pumps, loafers or boots wearer then this product is for you. It keeps your shoes smelling fresh and gives off the most amazing scent ever.
