Long time no Fashion Friday?! If you’re a kid from the 90s you would know the only thing cooler than The Spice Girls were jelly sandals. I remember having a pair of glitter jellies in each colour and they would never leave my feet.
Now darlings, Jellies are back in. They come in all shapes and sizes in the form of Melissa’s but now the traditional jellies are hitting all major online stores like Mr Price, Style 36 and Zando. They might not be as affordable as they used to be but the prices are quite reasonable. A lot has changed since the 90s, I’m not in love with them like I used to be. I think they look great on other people, just not myself. I can just imagine how sweaty my feet would be in them, or maybe the holes would act as ventilation holes. No?
Enough with the rambling, look how Azealia Banks is rocking it. I’m not sure if I’m a fan of the look but hey different strokes for different folks. The closest I’d get to wearing a pair of jelly sandals would have to be the glitter jelly sandals from Mr Price.
I used to be obsessed with them as well but I absolutely cannot see myself wearing them right now. I have seen a lot of (regular) people looking great in them but I think I have completely outgrown them.

I know how you feel! Its just not “you” anymore. I’d probably feel awkward with them on. Thank You for commenting Lauren 🙂
NAY!
Hehe lets leave it in the past hey?! Thank You for commenting 🙂
Not my style then, not my style now! But I see tons of people rocking them and they look fashionably nice!
I actually loved them when i was like 4. I guess its one of those trends that should’ve stayed in the 90s. Some trends looks great on some people, just not on oneself. Thanks for commenting Telma 🙂
So I’m not a 90s kid so I never got to enjoy these in their hay day. I really love them not just because of the variety (the colours, heels, so on) but they are also a great alternative to sandals for me.
You’re a 90s kid at heart! I’m pretty you’d be able to rock them effortlessly. I think you should show us some pics of you wearing yours.
They just look so hot and sweaty! I begged my mom for a pair when I was younger but she said she didn’t want to deal with my stinky feet 😦 I think they’re cool though – maybe not for me
Hehe and it definitely made ones feet sweaty. I guess its one of those fashion trends that’s not for everybody. Thanks for the comment darlings!
Gosh my mom never wanted to buy me a pair in primary school. She said she never wants me to wear cheap plastic on my feet. Haha. I did have fomo though cos all my friends had them.
LOL I think you need a pair now for when you go to Qatar again. I L-L-Loved them!
I didn’t like them when I was younger and I still don’t like them.
They thought they could get me by adding glitter but nope, no ways!
Love,
N

I know some designs that look much better than these from the time I worked and Country Road and Trenery store. They were really pretty, had a chain detail on top that’s also jelly like and came in the summer season. They were very stylish and expensive but sold like hot cakes. What I mean is there are jelly shoes that are even better than the ones on the pic up here but try and find the best and they last.
