Winter in the Cape is not as bad as I thought it would be. We do get those days where its 100% rain, hails to the point where it looks like snow and the temps being in the crazy single digits but we also do get our fair share of sunny days.

I’m all for fashion pieces that one can wear throughout winter but yet look fashion forward. Today my darlings, I bring you the quilted fashion trend. How I love this trend! It gives a certain edge to ones outfit and its just `stupéfiant`. I think know its one of the easiest trends that can be pulled off and there’s so many items that you can try out or incorporate into your wardrobe.

I made a little collage with all my fave quilted pieces. I’m particularly in love with the handbag from Blackcherry Handbags. I recently added the quilted boots from Shoe City to my booties collection and let me add that its the best winter investment I’ve made to date!For today’s celeb inspiration, I took different celebs wearing different quilted fashionable pieces. To me Lauren Conrad is queen of quilted. I remember her rocking her Chanel quilted handbags (in different sizes) in The Hills from season one.
