{Review} Kiehl’s – A Perfect Match

5280719549_24cc4eb070A few months back my first ever “Must Have Monday” was Kiehl’s products. I remember nagging and moaning because I had major FOMO seeing that Kiehl’s was not available in Cape Town and knew that I just had to try it. Being in the top 3 of Glamour Magazine’s Summer Pinterest Project, (Thank You once again to all those who voted for me) I received some AAH-MAZING Kiehl’s goodies + a few other added extras.

Now something about me, I received this a while back but I’m not one of those bloggers that receives beauty products and tries it once or twice and claims to be converted. NO! I try it for a while to thoroughly see if products lives up to its expectations because certain products tends to work for a short period of time only.

Number one on my list is the Ultra Facial Moisturizer. Moisturizers are a huge must from season to season. I have to admit that this was and is the best moisturizer I’ve ever used. Its gentle on my skin and works incredibly well with the rest of my skin care regime. It glides onto my face and absorbs into my skin without leaving it sticky and shiny. Another bonus is that this product protects you from the sun (SPF 15). The formulation is a bit thinner than what I’m used to but I find it to work better because it spreads evenly and covers you’re entire face with just a few drops. This is perfect for the colder months as you don’t require that much protection from the sun as you do in summer. Finding a moisturizer that’s suitable for my problematic skin is always a nightmare but this my darlings is a winner!

The second product I’m smitten with is the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner. I know that using a toner is important but due to my horrible experience with toners previously and the irritation it caused on my skin made me hate it for as long as I can remember. I feel that most brands toner’s tend to have a high level of alcohol content and that made me “anti-toner” until I tried Kiehl’s. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner has no alcohol in it whatsoever and I couldn’t wait to use it. This is amazing! I can’t even begin to describe it in words but I also use it as a makeup remover. Its jam packed with all these amazing goodies like Avocado oil, Apricot Kernel oil and Vitamin E to name a few. Its extremely hydrating and won’t dry out your skin.

  1. Congrats on getting to the top 3! Kiehls is also not available in PE, so I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve heard so much good things about them.

  2. Sooo embarrassed *covers face* I’m 23 years old and still use my body lotion on my face actually from head to toe. I really need a skin care regimen and I need to start by finding the right products. These Kiehls products sound amazing. I’ll have to give them a try.
    much love lil sis 😉
