Nude but Nice

I’ve blogged about my love for makeup brushes but obviously to love makeup brushes you have to love makeup. I’m one of those beauty junkies with a love for makeup but knowledge on how to apply makeup is close to 0%! Its either I stick to the basics like eye pencil + mascara + my bright red lippie or I end up looking like Lady Gaga.

So the lovies over at True Love sent me a Colour Quartet Palette, a Shine Stopper Powder and a Mascara from Clarins. I had it for a while but I didn’t bother opening it because I thought I wouldn’t know how to use it so I wouldn’t waste it.

The only product I’ve been using from the start is the Clarins Mascara. I can’t rave about this product enough. It doesn’t run down but its not hard to get off either. It adds instant length to your lashes without clumping and also separates your lashes beautifully. All I have to do is pull out the brush and brush it onto my lashes until I’ve achieved perfect coverage.

Then last week I finally opened my 2 boxes and saw thee most gorgeous nude shades that gives you step by step instructions to achieve a more natural smokey eye look. The colours compliments each other so you’ll be able to apply it without any hassles. I’m INLOVE! Its quite pigmented so you don’t have to use alot of product. I advise any makeup novice to purchase this palette!

The other product that I received is the Clarins Shine Stopper powder that I use when my face gets oily during the day. Its quite beige so applying too much is not a good thing. It gives your face a matte finish look and really does the job.

If you’ve got no idea as to what you’re doing when it comes to applying makeup (LIKE ME), I feel that these 3 products are ideal for you. Even for those that’s not into bold makeup, this is for you too!

  1. I am currently in love with Clarins but the skincare. I haven’t tried the make-up save for the lipstick (which is a gorgeous colour but not long-lasting).

I might need to check out that Shine Stopper!!

  2. Usually I do not read post on blogs, however I would like to say that this write-up very pressured me to try and do so! Your writing taste has been surprised me. Thanks, very nice post.
