Today I’m going to share all my fave accessories that I’ve been loving lately. I’ve got my own mini collection of accessories but there’s always some pieces that I reach for more than others. I can truly say that majority of accessories are from Mr Price. At the moment Mr Price is really wowing me with their Collaborations and on trend fashion/accessories in store.
Now if you’re a regular on the blog you’d know that I’ve got a huge love affair with bangles so obviously I had to include it onto my list. My top 5 summer accessories are: Gold Headband from Mr Price: This is definitely my summer lifesaver. It keeps my hair out of my neck and it looks supper pretty. With most headbands I tend to get a headache after wearing it for a few hours but not with this one. I got this headband at a steal for only R29.99. There’s so many ways to use it but this is my go to hairstyle. Owl Cuff from Scarlett Boulevard: I’m so bummed that Scarlett Boulevard closed down. I did however manage to buy a few things before they did. I love owl accessories and this is one of my faves. Its not very bulky like most cuffs and it looks pretty expensive. Drop feathers gems earrings from Mr Price: This is definitely my most loved pair of earrings for summer. It has this whole boho chic feel to them and they were on sale for only R19.99. If you love colour and feathers … GET THIS! Spikes style gold and turquoise necklace from Scarlett Boulevard: At the moment I’m thinking of ways to give this necklace a serious DIY. I hate that the colour came off. Being light of complexion made it a nightmare because it rubbed off on my neck (not a pretty sight). I have managed to put clear nailpolish on it to prevent it and it still remains my best neck piece. Gold “Lady Like” bangles from Mr Price: saving the best for last. The best R30 I’ve spent on accessories. I love that these bangles can’t be separated because that is how I loose them. Another bonus is that they are nickel free. They look so pretty paired with the proper outfit.
Today its all about local is lekker … In this case, local is cute. I love stumbling upon local brands that sells pretty things but is yet affordable for us budget girls to spend on. Creative peeps warms my heart and that’s exactly what my new found brand is all about. The name of this brand says it all, everything is as cute as a button.
The darlings over at Cute as a Button Crafts & Designs makes the most stunning handmade accessories and its a definite must have in your jewellery collection this summer. I’ve seen many people sell button accessories but the prices are ridiculous and not as pretty as the ones that Tish design’s.
I’ve seen really beautiful pieces that’s so on trend and know that each button loving darling should definitely have. All the pieces in this post were carefully crafted, made with love and made it onto my must have list.
Another great thing about their accessories is that it looks really expensive but is easy on the pocket. See why I love their goodies?

Today I’m trading in my usual Fashion Friday post and bringing you my latest fashion finds. I’m a huge online shopping fanatic but I get really annoyed when online stores tend to neglect the fuller figured darlings! Now I always browse Style 36 for fash inspiration and then stumbled upon their new range for some plus size fabulousness.
Summer is here and there’s no need to look like a granny just because you’re voluptuous. Style 36 has our backs lovies. The prices are quite reasonable and the fash is on trend. I love what they’ve got going on, on the online store. There’s prints, patterns and overall gorgeous summer goodness!
I just had to make my ultimate summer wishlist from the selection of plus size fab over on Style 36 and found it really hard and tempting to not add the entire range onto my collage. I’m also loving the fact that they’ve got a selection of pretty bras, meaning that there’s no excuse why you should wear ugly bras that looks like a bullet proof vest.
You can shop the world of brands on Style 36 even if you’re not a fuller figured dahling! Hop on over to their website, you’ll also get a discount voucher on your purchases. Now for some plus size inspiration. Have a great weekend and don’t forget to follow @Style 36 on Twitter and like them on Facebook.
Happy Monday lovies! I always mention how I LOVE LOVE LOVE stumbling upon new brands and its amazing when they’re available in South Africa. Just the other day I fell head over heels in love with a brand called Oilily, after spotting my bestie’s purse. She did however mention that it was bought in Holland so I had a *BLEH* moment thinking that we probably wouldn’t find it in South Africa. Then of-course I had a bit of a Google light bulb and found that they do indeed have an online store and a few selected stockists here in South Africa. What is Oilily you ask?
Oilily is a Dutch brand that was founded in 1963 and sells a variety of goodies ranging from Handbags, wallets, women’s clothing, kids clothing and way more. Oilily initially only sold Kids clothing, but later evolved into something huge… Something spectacular.
I loved the quality and texture of my friend’s purse. Its definitely worth investing in and would last you a good couple of years when looked after.
I really like how you can find something for everybody and besides that, all their goodies are prettiness overload. The pops of colour in the Oilily range screams S-U-M-M-E-R must haves! If I had loads of moola, I’d probably blow everything in 5 minutes shopping up a storm. I feel that everything in the Oilily range is reasonably priced so you don’t have to spend lots of money on spoiling yourself or getting somebody the perfect gift.
So of course with the finding of a new brand that’s right up my alley, I gotta have a lust list too. I made up a list with all my Need.Want.Must-Have items. I would’ve added everything on www.dutchfavorites.co.za if I could, but I had to behave myself just a lil. I’m particularly gaga over the red messenger. Agreed?! I so see myself rocking that baby all summer.
Today my fashion friday post is all about fun in the sun. I think its safe to say that hats aren’t only used for church. This is the season where you actually have to use your hats for protection against the sun and not only as a fashion statement. You get quite stunning sun hats that would compliment your outfit while serving a purpose.
If you spend wisely you can achieve the perfect summer look with an outfit from Mr Price (Obvs). I always aim for outfits under R500 and this week I absolutely achieved it. I’m all for accessories but not at the beach because you always end up loosing things. If you’re opting for a kaftan to the beach during the day, go for flats (nobody wears heels to the beach… Or so I’d think). To a pool party at night, switch it with wedges.
Different strokes for different folks. Everybody has different fashion styles and tastes so go for a hat that suits your style. If you don’t have moola to buy a new outfit, go with things that you already have… Like these celebs over here!

In many of my blogposts I’ve mentioned that I’m a HUGE lip product fan and when I noticed the latest lip craze that’s been sweeping the blogging nation, I just knew I had to try them out and see what all the rave reviews were about!
I’ve been eyeing these for a while now but the only reason I’ve been holding off from buying any is because I want all 12 and couldn’t make up my mind which one I wanted first and unfortunately I’m not Oprah Winfrey to just go and buy them all. Last week the lovely Claudia sent me a Revlon Just Bitten Kissable BalmStain in Sweetheart and I was OVER-THE-MOON. This balm stain made it onto my spring wishlist and to actually have it was AH-MAZING.
After using this for the first time, I can absolutely say that its a handbag essential this summer! I’ve been through many lipsticks and balmstains and after ± 2 hours, the product is faded and you left with itsy bitsy pieces of dry skin and your lips are left dry and irritable. A huge brand plus for me was that this lipstain honestly lasted for hours and when it started fading, I just swept one layer of lipgloss over it and it looked all pout perfect again!
Never have I come across any lipstick/lipgloss/lipstain/lipbalm that lasted this long, especially after eating. I love the peppermint smell that the balm stain has but it doesn’t give the tingling/burning sensation on your lips. It gives amazing coverage.
I’m totally “smitten” with these balm stains! Next on my lips list are : Crush, Lovesick, Smitten and Romantic. You can find Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains from Clicks and Dis-Chem stores.
