Perfect Nails in 60 seconds with Rimmel

Rimmel-Logo-1024x283I’ve been MIA off CGV all week due to hectic university workload and this weekend I just felt like being home and making my nails look pretty. My darling Desle sent me so many awesome goodies for my birthday and one of them are my new fave nailpolish from Rimmel.

Getting the London Look has never been easier. I’ve been spotting Rimmel’s 60 second polish everywhere and wanted to see if it really dries in 60 seconds because waiting for polish to dry is one of the main reasons why I don’t do my nails with nailpolish anymore. She sent me a stunning shade in “230 Portobello Pink” and I’m smitten!

I didn’t feel like doing the whole nailart thing because I had to hit the books 10mins later so this was the perfect time to see if this polish really did what it says it does AND IT 100%, HONESTLY, ABSOLUTELY, DEFINITELY does it. Its been 3 days and my nails still looks beauty parlor perfect. Besides the quick drying, long lasting and amazing formulation, I quite liked the applicator. Its bigger than your standard polish brush. It took me 2 strokes and 1 coat to achieve this look and a picture doesn’t do this colour justice. Its much pinker than what it appears on the picture.

Bloggers And Bags : Imka – Glamorous Glitter #6

IMKAIt’s been months since I last did a post on a Saturday but due to me being lazy and not wanting to blog weekdays, I thought I’d take a peek into another blogger’s handbag. My handbag

Polo handbag I got for my 21st birthday. It’s my fave handbag to use all the time! photo

-Pink Typo Daily Planner: Being organized is key when you are a blogger, student, student assistant and tutor.
-Kleenex Hand Wipes: Nothing is more annoying than having dirty hands and having to touch stuff. Ugh!
-Pink Glasses Case: Bought it on a whim for Mr Price and now it’s perfect for carrying both my free sunglasses from —Elle magazine and my prescription Guess glasses.
-Woollies body butter: I use it as a general moisturizer during the day as I hate having dry skin :(
-Student card: for access to university and discounts! Duh
-Pen: Probably the cutest pen I own. I am in love with the pink and polka dots in the pen. I got the pen for my 21st bday and it’s from Campo Marzio designs.
-Wallet: no need to explain. It’s from Mr Price.
-And I never leave the house without my Blackberry.
The black pouch I got from China Town and I carry all my lip products in. I don’t ever touch up my makeup during the day, but always, always, always carry enough lip products to moisturize and colour the town with, with me! photo (1)Lip products: BabyLips, Zambuck, Lip Smackers, Woolies Lip Balm, e.l.f lipstick, a few Rimmel lipsticks, Claire Gloss was a gift, no name gloss from China Town, Balm Balm lip balm, Woolies Stain Removing Wipes and some hand sanitizer again.

Thank You so much Imka for taking the time to do a post on City Girl Vibe. Totes want to snatch your handbag and a few things in it!

Completing My Own Sentences

So I’m going to have a Q+A with myself and answer my own questions. I loved this idea after seeing it on one of my fav blogger’s blog but decided to change it to what I thought would relate to me more.
Here goes…

The last thing I bought … My red Rimmel London bag that I got some free cosmetics in and that I absolutely love. [With my Bday $$$ from mommy]

Today I realized … That Table Mountain + Cape Town is a pretty spectacular place.

At the moment … I’m focusing on myself and not so much on the smaller negative things that takes up all my energy and happiness.

I am… Pretty much stronger than what I give myself credit for.

Tomorrow… I’m going to make at least one person smile.

I want… My own walk in closet.

I noticed… I’m pretty stubborn and I hate it when people tells me how to do things.

You know you’re past a stage… When you no longer fear something or someone not being in your life anymore.

Its not always a bad thing… To cry.

The best feeling in the world… Is to prove all those people wrong that judged you and said you could never do it.

I hate… Depending on people and frienemies (Friends+Enemies) that pretends to be my friend when they actually find pleasure in my mishaps.

I should really… Read more books than blogs, but I’m pretty motivated after I saw something that I would love in my own home someday.

One day… I would really love to be in the fashion industry but not a designer and travel the world.

I find it… Hard to trust people but I eventually do when I get to know them

I now know… That everyone is human and even the happiest of people experienced some pain and failure at some point in their life.

Last week… I reconnected with so many people that I’ve lost contact with over the last few years.

My makeup bag beauties

Last night I was bored and thought that I really need to get back to blogging. While lazing around I flipped through old magazines and came across Hlubi Mboya sharing her “in my make-up bag” with YOU Magazine.

So I’ve really been blessed in terms of my makeup bag blossoming with the most AH-MAZING products and today I thought I’d share my makeup bag contents with you. At the moment Rimmel London is dominating in there but in time all that will change when I find the next big sale [LOL]

I really do love makeup but I always stick to the rule “Less is more” and I never over do it. Apart from carrying my makeup bag everywhere I go, I do my normal makeup routine at home then just pop my makeup bag in my handbag for those “emergency” touch ups when I’m on the go.

Firstly I chose a small yet pretty white aloe earth Thandana bag that’s the perfect size and limits me from carrying my entire makeup collection with me and only focuses on the things that I really need apart from my usual makeup routine products.

•1 – is my Rimmel London Glam`Eyes Mascara. I love this beauty. The mascara wand is thin and comes with a little curve which makes it easy to apply and also curls the lashes perfectly.

•2 – is my Rimmel London Special Eyes, precision eye liner pencil that’s one of my fav in my handbag. Its so easy to apply and what I love most about it, is that its soft and you don’t have to put so much pressure on you eye line while applying it. The removal process is a breeze!

•3 – Tweezer from Just Skin aesthetic clinic. I have to say this tweezer is the most cutest pair of tweezers that I’ve ever seen! Tweezing those unwanted hairs just became a little less painful… NOT!!!

•4 – Clarins Paris , Shine Stopper Powder Compact which is my latest addition in my makeup bag. I don’t regret adding this one bit. This is perfect for touch ups during the day and what makes this compact even more lovable is the fact that its a shine control compact which gives me that natural finish look.

•5 – Rimmel London – Glam`Eyes professional liquid liner. I became a fan of this little wand after I saw Lauren Conrad rocking a stunning winged eyeliner look and totally changing my views that Liquid Eyeliner makes you look like Amy Winehouse [ May her soul R.I.P].

•6 – Rimmel London – Stay Gloss which lasts up to 6 hours but still adds that shine to it. I add this after my red lips has faded during the day. It not only smells like caramel but also leaves your lips looking smooth and feeling all to soft and kissable!

•7 – Tip Top Nails – Complete Chaos, this is something that I love! It goes perfectly with my skin complexion and what’s a bonus is that, sometimes I forget to do my nails and I need something that I can slap on fast and dry in an instant… Well Tip Top does that, I’ve used this polish so many times but the bottle is still full. Tazz♥TipTop

That is what my Makeup bag looks like and I’m just all to happy to share it with you… Shocking how small my makeup bag is compared to my huge handbags…
Lipgloss kisses
