Today I’m featuring the beautiful Charlene from . I love reading her blog especially her beauty reviews. Thank You Charlene for taking the time out to do a guest post for me. Here Goes :

A handbag is such a personal thing and it’s always fascinating to see what people carry around with them – even more so when you look at the contents of your own handbag. I recently downscaled my handbag size because with it being Summer I didn’t want to be carting a huge bag around with me in the heat. So that also meant that I had to scale back on a lot of things I carry around. I was quite surprised to see how much I carry with me and never actually use. So this is my scaled down makeup bag and the handbag I carry my goodies around in.
In my handbag
Eyes:
1. The Body Shop Mono Eyeshadow. I chose a dusty, light pink because it doubles as a blush as well.
2. Physicians Formula Gel Eye Liners in Purple and Brown. The main reason why I carry these are to change up the look of the eyeshadow. I am able to create different looks without carrying extra eyeshadows. These are really fantastic eye liners that go on quickly and smoothly.
3. Clinique Power Lash Mascara. This is long lasting and the tube is also smaller than other mascaras which makes it ideal for a makeup bag. When you choose a mascara for your makeup bag, you have to make sure that it’s one that gives great results all the time. When you are out and about you can’t correct clumpy lashes or smudges very easily.

Face:
1. Opal Black blush that I got in a Rubybox a while ago. I like having matte looking skin so this comes in handy when I get a bit of a shine.
2. Elizabeth Arden Kabuki brush to apply the blush. It’s nice and compact and applies brush and bronzer so incredibly well.
3. Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour cream Sun Defense for Face with SPF 50+. I am all about protecting my skin from premature ageing and the biggest cause of wrinkles in sun damage. So I’ve stocked up on these little tubes especially for my handbag.

Lips:
1. Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Tinted Lip Protectant in Blush. I’ve mentioned many times on my blog how much I love Elizabeth Arden’s 8 hour cream range. The lip protectant stick is so good at moisturising my lips and the tint is beautiful.
2. Kiehl’s Lip Gloss. I won this in a competition and before this I never use to wear lip glosses. In fact, I pretty much hated lip gloss. But this is such a gem. I love the beautiful berry colour and the non-sticky formula.

Hands:
1. Loccitane Shea Butter Hand Cream. This costs R100 for a little tube…yes that is quite expensive but this is a must for all women.

Essentials:
1. Hairbands
2. Hairpins
3. Nail File

Brrrr getting winter ready.

For all of us living in the Mother City, you’d know… Or rather felt that winter hit us early.☂ With all these cold days ahead I’m getting winter ready with some really fab products that lovely people sent me.

On my blog, you’d never see a bad review because I don’t like blogging about products that’s going to be a waste of money, time and space on my blog. So I find myself lost in little pieces of heaven jammed in a bottle or tube.

To me, winter☂ must be THEE most fragile time of the year where everything is more brittle, sensitive and dryer. So you really do have to rely on the best products on the market and I just happen to have some of the best ones on the dresser in my room.

Here’s what I’m using at the moment to keep my body pampered from head to toe all winter.☂

*For My Hair
•Justine – Tissue Oil – Treatment Hair Mask. Which helps moisturise dry and extremely dense hair leaving it soft, smooth and manageable. It also helps to detangle hair while adding a lustrous shine.

*My Face
•Decléor Aroma Cleanse – Cleansing milk face & eyes and Tonifying Lotion. It cleanses and tonyfies my skin.

*My Lips
•Palmer’s Cocoa butter formula – Swivel Stick. Enriched with Vitamin E, on the spot moisture for rough dry skin and also soothes dry, chapped, cracked lips.

*For My Hands
•Elizabeth Arden – 8 hour Cream -Intensive Moisturising Hand Treatment. Which Heals all cracking and dryness.
Soothing emollients smooth and soften rough, weather-exposed skin.

*My Body
•When taking a hot shower or bath I use the new Lux Beauty Body Wash – Velvet Touch which is packed with silk protein extract and apricot that leaves your skin soft and smooth.

•Wild Olive – Rose & Geranium body lotion. My ultimate all round season must have! Heaven in a bottle indeed. It not only smells amazing but also hydrates my skin for the whole day. #MustHave.

So those are my current products. I try new ones from time to time so I get to experience the best ones on the market. Right now those are the ones topping my list and highly recommendable that’s not way over budget and good quality. Later on in winter I might change some of my products and Ill be back with a blogpost.

Keep Warm and pamper on!

My Current Obsession

You know how women want something that’s really affordable, smells like heaven in a tube and does “the job all in one? Well now that is possible!

So I finished my current hand lotion sometime last week and I switched over and started using the Elizabeth Arden – 8 hour Cream [Intensive Moisturizing Hand Treatment]. This beauty is the perfect size for your handbag so you don’t end up carrying something big and heavy around.

•The 8 hour cream is perfect for those that’s always busy doing chores and even a little pick me up after your hands has been working all day.

•Its fast absorbing.

•Heals all cracking and dryness.

•Soothing emollients smooth and soften rough, weather-exposed skin.

And it lasts up to 8 hours!

I’ve also read reviews about people that use this product as a lip balm too and they actually say that they prefer it over normal lip balm. According to some reviews its the perfect lip protection for winter to prevent your lips from drying and cracking. I might be a bit skeptical about using it on my lips but if you try it Please Let Me Know!

This is really one of those products that every girl should carry around in her handbag and an added bonus is that one drop goes a long way so it will last long.
