Today I’m going to share all my fave accessories that I’ve been loving lately. I’ve got my own mini collection of accessories but there’s always some pieces that I reach for more than others. I can truly say that majority of accessories are from Mr Price. At the moment Mr Price is really wowing me with their Collaborations and on trend fashion/accessories in store.
Now if you’re a regular on the blog you’d know that I’ve got a huge love affair with bangles so obviously I had to include it onto my list. My top 5 summer accessories are: Gold Headband from Mr Price: This is definitely my summer lifesaver. It keeps my hair out of my neck and it looks supper pretty. With most headbands I tend to get a headache after wearing it for a few hours but not with this one. I got this headband at a steal for only R29.99. There’s so many ways to use it but this is my go to hairstyle. Owl Cuff from Scarlett Boulevard: I’m so bummed that Scarlett Boulevard closed down. I did however manage to buy a few things before they did. I love owl accessories and this is one of my faves. Its not very bulky like most cuffs and it looks pretty expensive. Drop feathers gems earrings from Mr Price: This is definitely my most loved pair of earrings for summer. It has this whole boho chic feel to them and they were on sale for only R19.99. If you love colour and feathers … GET THIS! Spikes style gold and turquoise necklace from Scarlett Boulevard: At the moment I’m thinking of ways to give this necklace a serious DIY. I hate that the colour came off. Being light of complexion made it a nightmare because it rubbed off on my neck (not a pretty sight). I have managed to put clear nailpolish on it to prevent it and it still remains my best neck piece. Gold “Lady Like” bangles from Mr Price: saving the best for last. The best R30 I’ve spent on accessories. I love that these bangles can’t be separated because that is how I loose them. Another bonus is that they are nickel free. They look so pretty paired with the proper outfit.
Today its all about local is lekker … In this case, local is cute. I love stumbling upon local brands that sells pretty things but is yet affordable for us budget girls to spend on. Creative peeps warms my heart and that’s exactly what my new found brand is all about. The name of this brand says it all, everything is as cute as a button.
The darlings over at Cute as a Button Crafts & Designs makes the most stunning handmade accessories and its a definite must have in your jewellery collection this summer. I’ve seen many people sell button accessories but the prices are ridiculous and not as pretty as the ones that Tish design’s.
I’ve seen really beautiful pieces that’s so on trend and know that each button loving darling should definitely have. All the pieces in this post were carefully crafted, made with love and made it onto my must have list.
Another great thing about their accessories is that it looks really expensive but is easy on the pocket. See why I love their goodies?
Also the fab darlings over at Cute As Button suggests that their accessories would make really wonderful gifts for a bachelorette party, kitchen tea, birthday or any other girls night get together that you could gift to your guests . To order just email email@example.com.

At the moment Scarlett Boulevard is having a major sale and selling all their accessories at a crazy reduced price before/after they switch currencies. Ofcourse there were a few things that I just had to have! My order will be arriving in two because one of the darlings over at SB lives all the way in the UK and she sends it from there. These are the 3 goodies I received in my first package :

WARNING : Today’s Must Have Monday’s post = highly addictive and believe me when I say, you’re going to want everything! Must have monday’s just became a whole lot cutesy!
I recently stumbled upon a brand called “Kimmidoll”. “Kimmidoll is a family of contemporary doll characters, each lovingly designed to represent “Life’s True Values”. Kimmidoll has something for everybody, from home deco items, to jewellery and even stationery.
My mom has this thing where she says “you see nothing, you want nothing” and after stumbling upon Kimmidoll, I honestly want everything. I had to limit myself from making a collage of everything on their website. This is really something that I want with my bunch of 21st birthday gifts in January.
Let’s start from the beginning. I want Kimmidoll in my life… Starting with my home : mugs, jewellery box, candles, tissue box covers and even a soap on dish. I want everything so badly, I had to take something from each Kimmidoll and not in sets. They even have their own names!!!
Then there’s the fashion accessories. The jewellery are to die for and I’d probably pimp out all my handbags with their cute hangers.
I’m one of those people that wants a different purse and makeup bag with each one of my handbags. I’m in LUST with the selection of purses and makeup bags that Kimmidoll has. I NEED.WANT.MUST-HAVE all of them.
The one thing that I miss most about school is definitely the stationery shopping and Kimmidoll has quite a selection of stationery goodies. I love stationery and seeing that I start university next year, you can just imagine how my eyes filled with little hearts after spotting all their beautiful notebooks and pens.
The new “KIMMIDOLL LOVE” products will be available from January (nudge nudge my birthday month) but the rest of the range you can find at most Exclusive Books, Cardies stores as well as independent gifting shops like “Get Graphic” in Canal Walk and Martha’s Vineyard in Waterfront.
Let’s round up this post before I create more collages. I might seem a bit crazy wanting to send family and friends my wishlist but I’d much rather have things that I’d adore than let my unwanted gifts gather dust at the back of my cupboard/closet. I’d definitely not let Kimmidoll gather dust… Just saying.
Ready to get that sun-and-salt-kissed visage? Me too! I’m loving loving loving this trend! It has a summer-ish feeling to it and really is gorgeous, agree? The fashion inspiration behind the nautical theme is just endless. From beautifully pin up style skirts to girly bows and trendy nail art.
Nothing embodies better the spirit of the upcoming Summer holidays like nautical accessories.
International designers are definitely feeling the nautical trend. At New York Fashion Week, Michael Kors’s showcased his love and inspiration behind his 2013 Spring collection which is nautical all the way!
This spring/summer it looks like our favorite fashionable ladies will be taking their style inspiration from the sea. Stunning fashion forward combos!

Today marks the start of November and also “Movember”.
What is Movember you ask? The word “mo” for mustache and “November” is an annual, month-long event involving the growing of mustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of prostate cancer and other male cancer initiatives.
Last month I did a post on breast cancer awareness so this month I thought why not about Movember! Just like early detection is crucial for females with lumps, its the same with men and prostate cancer so please please please guys (if guys even read my blog), girls educate your man, mothers make your sons aware…
I love how everybody goes all out and supports this cause along with bros with mo’s … Girls can’t exactly grow a mustache but we can however join in and make some funky nail art, wear accessories and even clothes!
I’m definitely going to pimp my nails out and purchase some accessories when I spot them in store. For more info on Movember, check out Movember South Africa’s website to learn more about it and found out how you can donate and all that jazz!
There’s just something about huge chunky rings that’s got me weak in the knees. Aside from my one ring that never leaves my finger, I really love huge rings in all shapes and sizes.
No outfit is complete without some piece of accessory. Come warmer days when I pack away my gloves, I’m definitely looking into buying more chunky rings and wearing it with beautiful summer flowy dresses and beach hairstyles.
One thing that’s going to be huge on my list is definitely matching my nail art to my rings. It gives it more of a funky look. At the moment I only have 4 rings, one that I bought, 2 that I got from amazing stores that spoilt me and one that I got from my friend for my birthday.
When it comes to chunky rings “the bigger the better” rule applies. I do however like finding one within budget and that’s colour won’t fade overtime and I found the best ones from Mr Price, Sass Diva, Scarlett Boulevard, 4Flavour, Icandy and Accessorize. They sell the most affordable and fashion forward ones. When walking through the stores, I don’t always buy things but its nice look at and I have an idea of what I’d like to purchase the next time.
I’ve been paging through spring/summer fashion catalogues and chunky statement rings are definitely gracing the pages of many fashion magazines, blogs and websites. I think that I’m not the only one that loves it, here’s my top celebrities rocking the chunky ring trend.

Just the other day I read a post about pearls and it really made me think about how my opinion changed towards pearls. At first I used to feel that it was for old people and when I got a set as a gift I really liked it. Lately I’ve been having alot of “mind changes” when it comes to fashion items and it shows that you should never close off the idea of liking something unless you’ve tried it.
Pearls are definitely making a comeback and it adds that extra bit of elegance to an outfit. I feel that pearls can be dressed up or down and is suitable for any occasion. There’s no limits when it comes to pearls and its definitely a fashion statement.
Pearl accessories comes in all shapes and sizes, be it statement neck pieces or dainty earrings. Its not about age and the following celebs will show you just how to work this trend. I personally love pieces with some diamante finishes or charms attached. Top celebrity looks that I’m loving.
I think its time I started fixing my own jewellery. Just as I did this post and took the pictures, one of my longer pearl necklaces broke Boohoo. Pearls reminds me of Marilyn Monroe and how she could pull any look off effortlessly wearing it. My pearl charms bracelet is from Scarlett Boulevard and its definitely one of my fav accessories so be sure to check them out for affordable accessories.

There’s just something about owl accessories that I love. I always find myself pinning owl accessories on my “Owls” pinboard and spotting it in magazines.
I always thought that its weird admiring the trend and then I realised that it must be my “inner insomniac” that’s drawn to it. Being the fashion fanatic that I am, I love reading fashion magazines online. I came across Marc Jacobs’s owl collection and I suddenly didn’t feel like Hermione Granger anymore. I spotted some gorgeous owl inspired pieces by Marc Jacobs and its oh too fashion forward! Bless the day I can afford a Marc Jacobs creation. These are my fav ones :
So I’m over feeling like freakish bird and I’m going to add a few owl accessories to my collection starting with an owl cuff and beanie! If I could have all of the owl accessories on my picture board, then I’d definitely be a happy chappy.
Its no secret that my fav colour is pink, whenever I have an off day I picture my world in pink. People usually hold to the darker shades when it comes to winter but I absolutely love love love going bright especially with pink! You get a million and one shades similar to pink with different names but to me its still PINK. I won’t wear it from head to toe but I will however incorporate it into my outfit. I can’t wait till spring/summer hits so that I can have a full on pink explosion!
There’s always something that I want so right now on my “Pink Want List” are the following items.
1- This stunning storage bag from Sass Diva that’s in the shape of a dress. I must have this!
2- This Yves Saint Laurent lippie appeared all over my blog in so many different shades a number of times. I love bright lippies.
3- Cuffs are huge at the moment and I fell in-love with this affordable one from Mr Price the first time I saw it.
4- Forever New sells amazing things and this handbag definitely tugged at my heart strings when I saw it. I Want.Need.MustHave!!!
As much as I want new pink goodies, I have quite a few items that I love and these are the top 4 ones that’s topping my list.
1- My pink cardigan is definitely my most loved one out of my whole cardi collection. I love that I can wear it in every season.
2- I’ve always wanted one of these cosmetic boxes but for some reason they’re just very pricey so I “stole this one from my mom and its looking oh too gorgeous on my dresser.
3- My sister brought me this Louis Vuitton scarf when she came back from her holiday to Dubai. I wear it on my head, around my neck and even my shoulders.
4- This is a cookie jar but I put in my room and stored my makeup brushes in it. Too cute for words!
“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.” ― Audrey Hepburn
